1. Renewable Energy Systems Lab

 

OBJECTIVES:

• To train the students in Renewable Energy Sources and technologies.

• To provide adequate inputs on a variety of issues in harnessing Renewable Energy.

• To recognize current and possible future role of Renewable energy sources.

2. Power Electronics and Drives Lab

 

OBJECTIVES:

• To provide hands on experience with power electronic converters and testing.

 

Major Equipments

• SCR, TRIAC, MOSFET and IGBT Characteristics Trainer Module

• MOSFET based step up and step down choppers

• IGBT based single phase PWM inverter module

• IGBT based three phase PWM inverter module

• SCR &TRIAC based 1 phase AC controller along with lamp or rheostat load

• Cycloconverter kit with firing module

• Digital Storage Oscilloscope

 

3. Control and Instrumentation Lab

 

OBJECTIVES:

• To provide knowledge on analysis and design of control system along with basics of instrumentation.

4. Power System Simulation Lab

 

OBJECTIVES:

• To provide better understanding of power system analysis through digital simulation.

5. Linear Digital Integrated Circuits Lab

 

OBJECTIVES:

• To learn design, testing and characterizing of circuit behavior with digital and analog ICs.

6. Microprocessor and Microcontroller Lab

 

OBJECTIVES:

• To provide training on programming of microprocessors and microcontrollers and understand the interface requirements.

• To simulate various microprocessors and microcontrollers using simulator.

• To gain practical experience on electric circuits and verification of theorems.

• To enable the students to understand the behavior of semiconductor device based on experimentation.

• To expose the students to the operation of DC Machines, Transformers, synchronous machines and induction motors and give them experimental skill.
